The device takes natural, redness and UV images for a comprehensive picture of skin health. The natural pictures show the top layer of the skin, showing anything that is visible to the naked eye. The redness images show any inflammation, capillaries or sensitivity which may be present in the skin, whilst the UV images show any pigmentation which might be visible to the eye or might be present in the deeper layers of the skin. Together with this, the TEWL probe measures moisture loss and hydration levels in the layers of the skin giving detailed insights into skin integrity and barrier function.
